There are tons of fun things to do when you visit Orlando, but nothing quite as special as sitting down to some fine dining in Orlando. And, with a booming restaurant industry made up of more than 150,000 workers, Orlando is a great place to experience some of the top Florida restaurants.
If you're interested in checking out some of the best meals you've ever tasted in the Orlando area, this guide is for you. Let's take a look at the best restaurants in the Orlando area.
1. DoveCote Orlando
At the top of our list is DoveCote Orlando, a stunning restaurant featuring French-inspired American cuisine. This restaurant is located in a stately building situated right in the heart of downtown Orlando.
DoveCote stands out from the crowd for several reasons, most notably thanks to its delicious and award-winning menu. On the menu, you'll find a raw bar featuring a huge range of oysters, shellfish, and clams as well as a kitchen with tasty meats, seafood, game, and poultry dishes.
Another great feature of DoveCote is its extensive and premium wine menu. You can order delicious vintage wines, tasty and meticulously prepared cocktails, or fresh beer that perfectly complements your meal.
You'll also love the wide variety of seating options at this venue. You can enjoy sitting down to a meal on the outdoor patio, in the great hall, or even in private dining restaurants. And, you can rent the venue out for special occasions.
There really is nothing to miss at this fantastic restaurant, which is why it's at the top of the list when it comes to fine dining in Orlando. It's a restaurant where you'll have an unforgettable and luxurious night out.
2. Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse
Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse is technically a chain restaurant, which means you won't get the same exclusive experience as you'd get at DoveCote. However, it's still a delightful place to spend an evening.
All the food at Fogo de Chao is from Brazil, and all of it is meat-based. The way the restaurant works is that you can order as much meat as you can eat and experience the many flavors of Brazil.
The steakhouse is located on International Drive, putting it near to some of Orlando's biggest attractions. It's a great place to go if you've got a large appetite after spending the day wandering through one of Orlando's many parks.
3. Citricos
If you love Mediterranean food, you might want to spend an evening at Citricos. Citricos has great food that's all based on your favorite Greek and Mediterranean flavors.
Keep in mind that the menu at Citricos is a little bit pricey for the food you'll get. Reviewers rate the value as slightly lower than that of DoveCote, which is one reason it's not at the top of our list.
For those who want to spend an evening at Citrico's, they'll need to venture down to Grand Floridian. There they'll be able to grab a seat in the main dining room for a delicious dinner.
4. Ravello at Four Seasons Orlando
Whether you're staying at the Four Seasons or not, you might want to check out Ravello. Ravello is an Italian restaurant that has all the traditional flavors of Italy that we know and love.
On Ravello's menu, you'll find plenty of family-friendly pizzas and flatbreads. If you want to get adventurous, however, you can try one of their many pasta dishes or risottos.
Ravello is located in the Four Seasons at Walt Disney World. Families who are spending the day at the park will find this a convenient dining option for finishing up their day.
5. The Boheme
If you like sticking to classic American food, you might want to head out to the Boheme. This restaurant has all your favorite American foods on the menu in a fine dining environment.
At the Boheme, you'll find mostly hamburgers and pizzas. However, these are gourmet hamburgers where your beef is cooked to your liking and the toppings are far from normal.
The Boheme is situated in the Grand Bohemian Hotel, located on Orange Avenue. It's a convenient place for dinner for anyone who's spending their vacation staying in the hotel.
6. Flying Fish
Another great American restaurant we have to include on our list is Flying Fish. This restaurant offers up some of your favorite American meals and is a delight for those traveling with their family.
Flying Fish is another restaurant that's located near the resorts. You'll find this one at Epcot Resort, making it convenient if you've spent the whole day wandering through the park.
Keep in mind that reviewers don't give Flying Fish such great marks for value. You might get the fine dining experience your after, but the food isn't as high-quality as DoveCote's.
7. Hemingway's
Named after one of our favorite authors, Hemingway's is another restaurant that's worth checking out. This fine-dining restaurant features mostly steaks.
You can find just about every cut of steak you can imagine at Hemingway. And, you'll find that the cuts of meat aren't just varied but are also high-quality, making them the ideal choice for fans of beef.
You'll find Hemingway's at Grand Cypress Boulevard. It's not as easily accessible from the many parks in Orlando but is worth venturing a little farther out to try.
Another steakhouse you might want to check out is Charley's Steak House. This restaurant features more surf and turf options, offering up an extensive seafood menu as well as steak options.
Charley's Steak House is the picture of fine dining with its romantic, low-lit atmosphere. It's ideal for those who are on a date or who want to experience the more luxurious side of Orlando.
You'll find Charley's Steak House on International Drive, right in the heart of the Orlando action. It's also not too far away from SeaWorld, Universal, or any of the Disney parks.
9. The Palm
Just like Fogo de Chao, The Palm is a chain restaurant. However, it's still a great choice if you're wanting to sit down to a delicious dinner while you're in Orlando.
The Palm serves up a mix of American cuisine and steaks. You can opt for your favorite prime rib or can instead select a classic American burger to sink your teeth into.
The Palm sits right near Universal Studios on Universal Boulevard. It's a great place to dine out after spending the day exploring Hogwarts and the rest of the attractions on offer at Universal's theme parks.
10. The Boathouse
Anyone who adores southwestern cuisine might want to head to The Boathouse for a bite to eat. Although the name brings seafood to mind, this is actually a steakhouse that serves up delicious southwestern meals.
The major draw of The Boathouse is its atmosphere. The interior is absolutely stunning, and there's also an outdoor patio if you prefer al fresco dining.
The Boathouse is located in Disney Springs, making it convenient for park goers. And, it's close enough to the rest of Orlando that you can easily reach it even if you're not hanging out in the parks.
11. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar
Wine lovers simply have to venture down to Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. This delicious restaurant features an extensive wine menu full of delicious vintage wines.
At Fleming's, you'll find a mix of American cuisine and steaks. The atmosphere is truly beautiful, creating a luxurious space for you to sip on your favorite wines and bite into juicy steaks or burgers.
Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar can be found in the heart of downtown Orlando. It doesn't have the kitschy feel of many of the restaurants near the parks, making it great for those who aren't visiting Orlando to see Disney.
12. Jiko - The Cooking Place
Most of us are familiar with French, Italian, and Asian cuisine. However, not so many of us have sunk our teeth into African meals before! If you're wanting to try it, head to Jiko - The Cooking Place.
There are tons of different meals on the menu at Jiko, and none of them are foods you've tried before. Plus, the fine-dining atmosphere makes for a truly pleasant dining experience.
You'll find Jiko in Animal Kingdom, which is partly why it is an African-themed restaurant. However, just because it's located in the park, doesn't mean that the menu's not to die for!
13. The Venetian Chop House
The Venetian Chop House is another fun fine-dining experience to check out. This restaurant features fusion meals and steaks.
The restaurant has a soothing and romantic atmosphere, making it a great place to sit down with your partner. And, the menu has tons of different flavors from all around the world, keeping things interesting every time you visit.
World Center Drive is home to the Venetian Chop House. That puts the restaurant pretty close to SeaWorld and other popular parks around Orlando, making it a great choice for tourists.
